Ugh Dh is not taking the germs and hand washing nearly as seriously as I am. I feel like his mom and he keeps rolling his eyes when I tell him to wash his hands again. So annoying but stomach bugs are so contagious!

@hellobeeboston: yeah it has not been the best 24 hours! We had a decent week before this though! And actually she seems 75% better now. I just really don't want anyone else to catch it. I think I did manage to beat the cold I felt like I was getting with echinacea and vitamins and such so that's something!

@Foodnerd81: ugh. You poor thing, sounds like a tough week for you. I've been in a similar boat, our 4 month old had croup and now a terrible cold/cough. The threenager is coughing all over and me and DH had colds, then 24-hr viruses. I feel like I'm never going to sleep again.

But, I digress.....probably after 8 days it's not the antibiotics. I would wait a bit till not puking :( so sorry.

@brady80: @Cherrybee: I didn't talk to her doctor but did talk to my pediatrician friend, and decided to wait on the antibiotics. She seems better- hasn't thrown up since like 7 or so this morning. and she's kept down water and dry Cheerios and coconut water.

I don't think it's related to the antibiotics since she's been on them for a week already with no issues, and she isn't really stuffy. But the throw up was pretty much all clear.

@brady80: I've been washing my hands like crazy. It's convincing C to wash them that's the harder part. And now that she feels better, keeping her from the baby...

Could it be the antibiotics - or the ear infection - causing the vomiting? We have just been through a week of E vomiting only at night and in the morning, caused by her sinuses draining into her stomach at night. Id call the doctor and talk it through.

I wouldn't because I feel like that would upset her stomach more. Did you check with the doctor?
Wash your hands all the time! Our ped told us that some of the stomach bugs are resistant to hand sanitizer and washing your hands is the best defense! Hope everyone else stays healthy. Having a newborn and toddler in the winter is fun, right?!

Do you still give antibiotics if your LO is also throwing up? C has been throwing up since 3 am- not constantly but she hasn't eaten or drank anything. She's on day 8 out of 10 of antibiotics for an ear infection. Do I give her the dose this morning, knowing she will probably throw up shortly after? Wait until she has held down some water?

Poor kid. Also please don't let anyone else, like the 7 week old baby, get this.
