They always made her feel better within the first 12 hours, but they did give her nasty yeast infections. My ped didn't seem to have any issues with it, so it didn't really occur to me to feel badly about it, ha...it worked within 12 hours of hr first dose (had fever of 102+ for the previous 48 hours), so I'm glad we did it.<br /> It did hurt her stomach tho, so I had to make sure to give it in between feedings and then the ped had me give her a probiotic to help the upset tummy issues...it honestly wasn't really a big deal at all, the whole thing, sorry you're feeling upset about it! </p> https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/antibiotics-for-your-infant#post-1083705 Thu, 12 Sep 2013 19:04:30 +0000 Mrs. Taco 1083705@https://boards.hellobee.com/ <p>Does anyone have experience giving LO antibiotics? How did you feel? Did they work? </p> <p>My baby girl is just 3 months and was prescribed antibiotics today (for a sinus infection?)...my doctor said "I hate to do this for a baby so young but we've tried everything else". I just feel so unsettled about it!</p> <p>She has been 'sick' for over a month now (congestion, cough, etc.), it started just 3 days after beginning daycare. We've tried saline and suction, a humidifier, and taking her out of daycare for a week. Nothing. Luckily, tomorrow is her last day of daycare for good but ugh, I hate giving her medicine when she is SO young! </p>
