@CatchAFallingStar: I know you've read my story, so don't just give up... keep trying if it's what you really want and what's in your heart.

I had 9 follies at my initial testing U/S, but throughout my treatment I had only 5 and/or 4 each time.

We did 5 unsuccessful cycles of fertility treatments and then stopped.

I got pregnant naturally... eventually.....
ETA: my numbers were just like yours, even a bit worse and I was ONE year older than you. Just for reference. Hugs!!!

Got my AMH results today. It was .29. I'm not surprised. It was 1.34 three 3 years ago. RE recommends injectable gonadotropins and IUI for a few cycles (this is how we conceived our daughter). He said we can try on our own for a few months first. He said I would not be a good candidate for IVF, but I don't want to go that route anyway. I think I'm just kind of exhausted by all of this. It's a lot to take in. Plus, my husband probably won't want to to any fertility treatments at all. He's is the "if it happens, it happens" camp. :meh:

@CatchAFallingStar: I had a low antral follicle count back in August.. I wish I could rememebr the exact number but it was definitely a single digit (1-9). My RE commented on it being low and preparing me for poor results compared to my first successful IVF 4 years ago.
My AMH was .45 (very low). Normal FSH (forget number since it was a normal and I didn't obsess over it :silly: )

My first two IVF cycles for LO2 were pretty abysmal. We we were able to test 2 embryos the first time and 4 the 2nd round. That's pretty crappy. All were abnormal (to be expected due to my chromosomal abnormalities).
My RE actually recommended donor eggs at that point. He wasn't optimistic on another round but said it wasn't totally out of the picture.

In January we decided to go for round 3. But for 2 cycles I had a premature follicle which is also indicative of DOR. I had to trigger it out two cycles in a row and it delayed us each time. He finally decided to put me on an estrogen priming antagonist protocol in March and that did the trick. 17 eggs retrieved (which is excellent for anyone, let alone me) and 10 made it to PGD testing. We now have 2 normal embryos waiting for transfer in May or June. And my doctor is extremely confident that at least one will stick since my issue is egg quality and these are both PGD tested normal.

Hopefully I'll have another happy update in a couple months!

@CatchAFallingStar: I never did an antral follicle count - we did a repeat loss workup which had included progesterone, AMH, FSH, oestradil (sp?), thyroid, and estrogen....all as an initial round of testing. Everything but AMH came back as normal so my OB referred me to an RE for a consultation on the AMH issue. We had an appt scheduled but got and stayed pregnant...we didn't find out until 18 weeks that our baby had multiple fetal anomalies (that weren't related to my age or AMH) and we made the heartbreaking choice to end the pregnancy. We decided to try again 4+ months, but hadn't even gotten to the point of seeing the RE (or not) when I got pregnant again. Good luck!!

I had a AFC of 7 and my AMH was 0.33. My FSH was 13. This was all done following my losses when I wanted some answers. We were told I had DOR. We were given Femera to try for a few months and signed up for IVF orientation. I also had a hysteroscopy and my my tubes flushed. We found out I was pregnant again naturally (well I was on Low dose aspirin and Progesterone) a couple weeks before I was going to start the Femera. I think we got lucky because all our numbers pointed in the wrong direction. Good luck to you.

I was 35 when diagnosed with low AMH (.66). We conceived a few times and had early losses and then got and stayed pregnant but had an 18 week loss due to fetal anomalies. I was 36 when we conceived this current pregnancy - not really trying and not preventing. I'm 31 weeks along now and almost 37.

I'm 38, trying for our second. I had an antral follicle count today. Only 5 total. I know this is low. Anyone else have a count this low and have success becoming pregnant either with our without assistance? I had lab work done but won't have those numbers for at least a week.
