I suffer from anxiety but its usually manageable. I haven't taken medication for it in about a year. I definitely worry about handling things after baby is born due to issues that have come up that trigger it - i.e., my younger sister died of a virus at 12 days old (my parents never knew if it came from the hospital or a visitor), and my DH and MIL won't budge on inviting visitors over when the baby is a newborn. Thinking about it makes me hyperventilate.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.

For now I'm controlling it with an extra dose of B6 and going to the gym... I'm just really concerned about it getting out of control after baby arrives.

I have struggled with GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) and Major Depression for years. I was put on Zoloft before I got pregnant after being on Lexapro for a long while.
Zoloft has been great during my pregnancy so far. I will probably increase my dosage right before baby comes because I know I will suffer from PPD.

I didn't have really bad anxiety issues until I got pregnant. I suffered from panic attacks and anxiety at night to the point where I wasn't sleeping or able to relax. It landed me in the hospital, and now I'm on Zoloft.

There are lots of resources available on perinatal mood disorders that you could check out - I think it's really common!

Do any of you bees suffer from anxiety? How did you cope with it pre-pregnancy and during pregnancy?

I have it pretty bad, I take cipralex right now and my doctor told me I'd definitely stay on it during pregnancy when we get lucky. I also take B6 if I find my emotions are really out of whack. I used to go to the gym to get rid of stress/anxiety but these days it's not helping.
