@SunshineMcC: just from what I've heard, there are fewer undesirable side effects with injectables.

@theswisswifestyle: thanks for your message - it's hard not to be negative! It's the opposite of how I am in nearly all other areas of my life, so this all feels foreign to me. How are injectables different (beside the obvious)? My DH has motility/morphology issues, hence the reason for the IUI, but I'm not sure that the clomid is really necessary for me, since I'm ovulating every month.

I skipped clomid and went right to injectables. But fear not, you are not alone. And don't even worry about being the negative bee, I'm right there w/ you.

Best of luck this cycle!

@FaithFertility: ohhh, the hot flashes. I lucked out and didn't experience any until I was on 150mg, but when I did ... Wooo! They were a doozy. So glad that I've been switched to letrozole :)

I'm an emotional person to begin with, and Clomid brought that out in me even more. I would cry at anything and everything (aww, the cat is being so adorable right now *sob*). And feeling exhausted after monitoring appointments is totally normal - they throw so much information at you, and you go in already nervous because we can't see what's going on inside of our bodies beforehand, so you can't prepare for the news ... it's rough! If you need to vent, the IF boards here are a great place to do so - we've all been through similar things, we know how hard it is, and we can tell you that you WILL get through it eventually!

19mm on CD11 is really good, I usually don't get that far until CD14 or later. Fingers crossed that things work out for you!

One of my clomid cycles made me terribly sad and weepy, too. But not the next! It only took me a few - I hope you just need one.

Clomid made me a weepy mess too! I usually feel better a few days after the pills are done though. Good news about the follicles!!

Oh my, just finished clomid on Saturday and I'm a weepy mess. The past week has been full of anxiety, emotion overload, crying and hard times.

I deal with anxiety from time to time, and while most of the time it's controlled with lexapro (all docs know and support), I'm having a hard time right now.

I went into the office for my first monitoring on this second cycle and after I left I just felt exhausted and depleted. I can understand why couples take a break from trying, as this can really take a toll on your emotions.

I really don't want to be the negative bee on the board, but do want to be honest about how I feel right now. Thanks to all for letting me vent and rant.

In good news, one of the follicles was 19 already, and it's only day 11, so that's promising.

One day at a time, one day at a time.
XO
