All of these posts were so helpful! I’ve been reading more about Willow and Elvie. The reviews are hit or miss. For that money, I want perfect haha. I just worry I won’t have time to pump and build a stash for vacations ex like I want to.

1) I would try to wear your new baby if you can. I think the soft happy baby carrier is so easy to use and its suitable for newborns, I think.

2). I still liked the insurance-provided medela since you can get replacement parts so easily at target if you forget a piece while you are pumping away from the house.

3) I wouldn't take away little 2nd child's pacifier, especially since its only at night. My oldest was a major pacifier user. Her teeth were getting messed up and I still waited until 4 years old to take it away. I just started to no longer offer it at night. And she eventually stopped asking for it. And, her teeth have relaxed back into place.

For us, I feel like it’s never the things I worry about that end up being the struggles. It’s always whatever I didn’t imagine. 3 can be tough but you’ve got this!

1) I didn’t end up baby wearing my 3rd as much as my first 2. No real reason I can think of, though. I did love my moby wrap for the 1st 2.

2) I did a PISA for all 3 because I didn’t feel like learning something new. I thought about trying the spectra because I’d heard such good things about it. I don’t think I’ve heard much about the willow but the ads look super cool.

3) as the mom of an older thumb-sucker, if holding off on paci-weaning can help to keep your kid from thumb sucking like @MrsSRS said, I would for sure hold off. Getting my 4yo to stop sucking his thumb is a big challenge and his teeth are awful. He never sucked his thumb until I left on a long trip at 15 months which was the end of our breastfeeding journey so I feel like it was definitely a replacement of a previous soothing behavior. Would definitely go back in time and undo that choice.

I don't have a whole lot of advice for you (I only have 2 and I'm done) except for: I wouldn't worry about the binky/pacifier at this point yet. DD1 had hers until she turned 3 (and I had A LOT of guilt over letting her keep it so long) but she did fine (it was tough for a night or two) and her teeth are fine (she just turned 5). So, I would put that on the back burner if you need to. You have a lot going on! Congrats and good luck

I only have two now (am pregnant and also nervous about handling 3), but have found the lillebaby a complete necessity for both, and the second more than the first. One of our best baby investments.

I unfortunately don't have much insight on the pump (love my spectra) or pacifiers. With #2 I found the end of pregnancy more difficult than the newborn days (ugh, so miserable), so I say do whatever makes life the easiest now and don't sweat too much that some stuff will get put off.

1) We used Ktan in the early weeks and Tula later for all 3 of ours. Highly recommend.
2) I love the idea of the Willow but have heard a lot of bad or meh experiences. I was going to get one for #3 but with Covid I ended up not pumping and just being home all the time to nurse. I will say I regularly see the Willow on FB marketplace often barely used with unopened accessories. With a look.

3) I will buck the advice trend and say wean now so #2 is used to sleeping without it well before the baby comes. You’re not going to want to fight that battle with a newborn so if you don’t wean now it could potentially be another year + before you’re ready for that.

Fwiw, we kept the binkie, only in the crib, until 3.5. our pediatric dentist said that if kids have a strong need to suck and you take the pacifier away they usually switch to sucking thumbs which is worse, so okay for limited use until the child is old enough to quit a little more willingly. My kids are a little less than 2 years apart and I just wanted the first baby to keep sleeping well so no shame there. He's seven now with perfect teeth and no pacifier.

@LadyDi: LO is 21 months today lol. She loves it when she sleeps. I’m scared to try as I want to sleep now in peace and dread the screaming and crying. I don’t know what to do. Did you just not give it to him and he laid down and was fine? She only has it for nap and bedtime and i’ve walked in to check on her when she was sleeping and she didn’t have it in her mouth. I’m worried the new move will make her want it as she will be in a new environment? I don’t know... ugh

You've got a lot going on! I will say I wore baby #3 A LOT more than I ever did with the first two. I bought an Ergo and I was able to put it on and take it off by myself pretty easily. My middle son was only 15 months old when LO3 was born so I really needed my hands free. I did not wear from the house to car, I just carried the carrier, but I used it a lot in stores, playgrounds, etc. This was all pre-covid. If you don't want to invest in a new carrier I have seen a lot for sale at consignment stores or on FB marketplace.

How old is your LO who still uses a pacifier? My youngest just weaned a couple of months ago (he was around 19-20 months) and he was only using it to sleep. It was so easy, I just took it away and he was honestly fine. We've used it once or twice since then, once when he fell and hurt his lip and was pretty inconsolable, but at this point I think it's gone for good.

No advice re: the willow, I just used my trusty, dusty medela.

You've got this! I had three under 5 and it was intense for awhile but now that my youngest is almost two it is so much (crazy/loud) fun.

I’m due in August and have two little ones.... moving, buying a house- working full time - all the good stuff. So anxious on how to adapt when baby comes... a few questions

1) should I wear #3? especially when we are in the apartment going from car to apartment?
recommend your carrier please???

2). Pump. I was thinking about the Willow, wearable one for home and when I return to work in 8-9 months... thoughts, rumors, experiences????

3) 2nd child has pacifier when she sleeps only- should we wean now? I haven’t spoken to the dentist yet....

Anything else I can do to help ease this transition please share....

TIA
