<description>&#60;p&#62;@MissLace:  we just did the opposite, we moved to a state that has no income tax from a state that did have it.  It Is hard to give an exact number because it all depends on what other deductions he will have but i think per pay period you can expect to see an atleast an additional $150 to $200 taken taken off in taxes. Of course when you file your taxes you may get some back if your enter things like state property tax that you pay in rent or mortgage. Additionally medical expenses are another way to get somthing back when you file state taxes

  I have a question, my husband and i currently live in NH (where there is no state income tax), and he has a 2nd interview at a company in MA (which does have income tax). I'm assuming federal taxes are the same for every state (but i could be wrong), is there a way to figure out how much more he needs to make in MA to &#34;break even&#34; with what he was making in NH? i tried googling it, but its hard to get a clear answer since theres so many ways taxes are broken down/withheld from each check. For easy math, lets say he makes $70k in NH, what would be the equivalent to that in MA?
