<description>&#60;p&#62;Not exactly the same as you but my aunt and uncle adopted their son from Japan while they were stationed there.  They ended up just doing a domestic adoption because they lived there.  Then when they moved home they had to get his citizenship. I think if you want to adopt I would just look at adoption agencies in your area.  They will be able to go over your choices with you.

<description>&#60;p&#62;I'm American, living with my Swiss DH in Switzerland.  I was wondering if there are any other Americans out there who have adopted while NOT living in the US, and with the child being from an entirely different 3rd country.  &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I am just wondering how to even begin researching what we would do!  &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;(Sidenote:  We are TTC but I'd adopt now if we could.  We will most likely adopt regardless if we have biological children.)
