Thanks, ladies! I will definitely catch a ferry somewhere tomorrow as long as it's not as gloomy as it was today. I took advantage of the bad weather to do some online "Bright Friday" shopping while LO napped.

@Mrs Squirreld: Thanks for the art gallery recco. Free things to do are particularly useful right now, as BabyEllie has taken to joyful squealing as her main form of communication recently...at least when things are free, I don't feel quite so torn about having to make a quick exit with her and come back later vs. trying to calm her down.

@PinkElephant: I'm from the west coast but have been to Sydney a few times. Catching the ferry to manly is good fun if its not raining. :-) the art gallery of NSW is free admission if u like that sort of thing.

Hello, I'm an ex-pat Aussie mum but I live in Brisbane so my knowledge of Sydney is quite limited. I know you said it's not beachy weather but heading down to Bondi could be fun regardless. If I recall correctly, it's a nice little community that can be fun even without the beach. I do believe Manly is the same but as I haven't been there, I can't say for certain. Anyway, I hope someone else can help you out! I think @MrsSquirreld is an Aussie but not sure if she's from Sydney or not.

I think there are a few Aussie mamas out there....wondering if any of you can suggest some stroller friendly activities for baby and mama in Sydney. Particularly on a grey day like today when it's not very fun to be outside.

LO and I joined my hubby on a business trip last minute and are trying to keep ourselves occupied during the day. So far we've walked around Circular Quay/the Rocks a LOT, been to the Botanic Gardens, strolled through the park near Darling Harbour, shopped at Market City, and visited a few bookstores.

I'm trying to avoid the zoo/aquarium since she'll do those things with Daddy next week, and they are pretty pricey activities to do twice. Thinking of hopping on a ferry to Manly or Watson's Bay today, but the weather isn't very beachy so maybe seeking out a public library instead.....would love any recommendations!
