If you have an empire waist, it should totally work. It just might be a little shorter in the front at 33 weeks if it's non maternity.

I bought one "batch" of maternity clothes at 25 weeks and everything still fits me at 39.2 weeks. In fact, nothing is even tight yet. I think you will be totally okay with one dress.

Yes, as long as it's made of a stretchy material and is forgiving at the waist. I would get something in a neutral color like black, gray, or beige, and then accessorize differently for the two weddings.

If it's a maternity dress you should be able to wear it for both weddings. Just wear different shoes and accessories to each wedding!

I bought a tea dress ages and ages ago, and it's still my favourite thing. The bust is crossover, the skirt falls below the knee and is kind of swingy/flowy, it's jersey and super comfy. Be generous in your estimation of size and it should be fine!

I wore the same dresses throughout my whole pregnancy. As long as it's not form fitting it should be fine.

If it's a maternity dress you can for sure. I wore my maternity dresses at from 26 weeks through to the end of my pregnancy, and even post-partum for our newborn photo session! They were flattering at every stage. (Bought from Motherhood Maternity)

I wore a dress at 13 weeks that I can still wear now at 38 weeks! It's shorter, for sure. The top is empire waist, but it has a band around the bottom of the skirt (kind of almost a bubble hem) so I was sure it wouldn't fit. Well, it still does.

It is this dress: http://www.desigual.com/en_US/womens-clothing/dresses/prod-erfun-21V2082?selectedPage=2
OK, well, not exactly this dress-it's last year's fabric, but this pattern. Note it is NOT a maternity dress. :)

I was in the same boat. I bought a pretty maternity dress that I wore when I was 20 weeks (teeny tiny bump!) and then again when I was 31 weeks (big bump!)...The dress still fit, just tighter and showed off my belly.

You could probably pull it off if you get a wrap dress or something in jersey material?
Just accessorize differently!

We have two weddings to attend this summer. For the first, I will be 22 weeks, for the second 31 weeks. I haven't gone dress shopping yet. I know there are a lot of factors involved, but do you think there's a chance I can buy just one dress? The cheap, easily frustrated part of me wants to find a dress I can wear twice. The fashionista in me wants two dresses - especially since the brides are friends and will have overlapping guest lists.
