@PrincessBaby: Just now seeing that I was tagged here. I did just throw a Minnie Mouse party for R's first birthday.

I got small mouse head cookie cutters and cut pretty much everything into mouse heads. Rice Krispie treats, PB&J sandwiches, watermelon, pineapple, bell peppers, and cheese. The cutters we got weren't very sharp, so that was kinda tough. The PB&J were the easiest. Just made sandwiches and cut them out. The watermelon was probably the second easiest. The rice krispies and cheese were a little harder due to the cutters being very blunt.

There are a ton of ideas on Pintrest, and eventually I will get my photos for the party uploaded to Pintrest. The hot dog idea is really easy and kid friendly.

We did a Mickey party too. My mom bought him the Ikea easel and I just wrote in chalk "We've got ear, say cheers!" We also played the Hot Dog Dance song over and over on our stereo. And last, we got a Mickey pinata! They have these pinata's for toddlers where you just pull a string. It was really fun. Other than that, I just got red tableclothes and bright colored utensils and balloons.

@Smurfette: @T.H.O.U.: That would be so awesome! My neighbor whose boys are coming to the party has a costco membership and I'll get her to grab some!!!

@brownie: I think hot dogs in the crock pot sounds great! Maybe if I can do that and get the mickey mouse nuggets, that will be all I have to make an effort at!

@californiadreams: I agree! I'm definitely not going to hurt myself. Everything else is being done by someone else, so I'm not going to do much else! Nuggets and hot dogs sounds just fine!

@Smurfette: Such cute ideas! Love the hot dogs!!!! Love how easy hot dogs are, lol :silly:

@lawbee11: We are renting a bounce house so she's going to be running wild and playing so I'm not going to put her in a dress...I am getting her the bright red cords from BG (why did I not get them on the 40% off sale????) and having her a tee shirt made. She has Minnie mouse hair clips that I use for her pigtails so I'm going to put those on her pigtails and let her rip! I did get her a nice dress for her 2 yo pics that she's taking this weekend, so there will be some documentation that she can dress up, even as busy as she is:)

We made rice crispy treats in mickey shapes with a cookie cutter and covered the ears in chocolate (just like they do at DLand). The first picture.

And for food we made hot dogs in the crock pot for the hot dog dance. And we had the Mickey and Friends freeze dried fruit packets for the kids. The second picture.

@PrincessBaby: I used a strawberry-shaped sandwich cutter for M's party (actually it may have been a cookie cutter, but I used it for sandwiches). I cut the bread the night before then threw it all in a ziploc bag. Then the day of the party I spread the PBJ. It was a little time consuming but cutting the bread took the longest and I got that over with before the day of the party.

@sorrycharlie: Was the sandwich cutter easy? I have used cookie cutters before and it was a disaster, lol. They baked and then looked nothing like what they were supposed to look like so I have a very negative "cutter" association, lol.

I'm planning a Minnie Mouse party for my LO's 2nd bday.

I work 50 hours a week, am pregnant, and DH is out of town the week of her party (comes in night before) so I'm wondering if anyone has any fun EASY food tips - mainly for kids stuff.

I am going to order a cake similar to the one I'm posting below, and we're having finger foods brought in by a caterer for adults but they don't do kid food. So other than the cake, we don't have anything else cutesy planned food-wise.

I saw sandwich cutters on amazon and was thinking I might do those but I'm not sure how much of a PITA that is:)

Any suggestions/ideas?
