Similar story to @hellobeeboston: I had a friable cervix in my first pregnancy and bled a fair amount (though carried to term and all was perfectly fine, just had some scares). I'm 25 weeks now with number two and other than a little bit of spotting at 5 weeks I've not had the same bleeding issues this time.

I have one too. Mine is from having a colposcopy back in the days to get rid of some questionable cells. Now it bleeds really easily. I always spot in pregnancy. With DD I bled pretty much non stop from 35-40 weeks because of all the changes going on with my cervix.

I was told in my last pregnancy I had this. I had spotting early on and then again mid-pregnancy. I also had two or three yeast infections during that pregnancy that led to bleeding.

I'm pregnant again (36 weeks now) and haven't had any bleeding at all, and no yeast infections luckily, so I'm not sure what changed!

Yep, when pregnant, my cervix gets friable. My first pregnancy I had bleeding scares. This last pregnancy, I knew what my body was doing so it didn't worry me as much.

I have been told I have a friable cervix. I usually need a pad after Pap smears. Didn't cause any bleeding or spotting during pregnancy though.

When I was in the ER on Wednesday, I was told that I have a friable cervix. After I got home, I realized I've heard that before, by an OB in a different state where I used to live. He cauterized it with silver nitrate (ow), and no one has mentioned it since. But now I'm curious if it might help explain some of the issues I've had over the last two years (infection post-HSG, bleeding during pregnancy, continuous yellow discharge, trouble with my IUD).

I'm going to ask during my annual, but I would love to hear your experiences. Did you treat it? Did it cause you issues during pregnancy? Thanks!
