He accidentally ran over the cord lol. Bless his heart. He said he did not like it because of that. I think if you have a small small yard its fine for a corded one but where we live we have pasture grass and thick thick weeds and big yards so it wouldn't work. My neighbors have one and their yard is maybe a 1/2 acre. He can only mow part of it at a time on the charge. It takes us about an hour to mow our lawn (approximately half an acre), and I want to make sure if we go this route that it’ll last long enough. I mowed the lawn as a kid with gas and I am so over it. This one I plug it in and it starts like a charm and goes! But now we have a corner lot and it would not be adequate at all so I have a self propelled gas one which is amazing. The brand is Ego and it cuts through my weedy lawn well. Ours is ~1/3 acre and takes about 1/2 an hour to mow, which is pretty typical. Our lawn mower looks to be on its last legs, and we’re considering replacing it with an electric one. We have a fair amount of trees, so we’d want one that is powerful and can mulch, and that would last at least an hour on a single charge. Are electric ones worth it, or should we go with gas again?
