My older son was still waking at night and taking a bottle, my twins had eating issues and colick. I also could not for the life of me get them 100% on a schedule together. (Except for their colick cry which was like clockwork from 8-11pm) I would try to wake one up when the other would wake up but a lot of times they just weren't having it. </p> <p>I think the biggest thing is just to keep a sense of humor about it. There will be times when all three are crying and you can't figure out what to do first. There will be times when no one will nap and it will inevitably be the day after a long night of no one sleeping when you really need it the most. There will be times when everyone is sick and you resort to watching tv all day long. But there will also be great days and they will all play beautifully together and it makes the rough times so worth it. Twins are awesome. They are so, so, so much work, but so worth it.</p> <p>I didn't have a night nurse (in our area they were very pricey) but I did have someone help for the first few with my oldest son. when he turned 1 and my twins were 3 months I was on my own. I think the most helpful thing was having family help with chores and taking care of dinners. But if one got up to eat, we woke the other one. Same thing for naps. My pediatrician said with twins synchronicity is key. So we've kept them on the same schedule. And then letting our toddler 'help' any way she's interested has kept the jealousy to a minimum. </p> <p>And then when people volunteer to come help, only take those up on it if you know they will actually be helpful and not create more work or stress for you. </p> <p>Congrats!
