I personally like it when kids don't do what they're "supposed" to do! We had two very young child attendants (flowergirl was almost 3 and ring bearer was 1 1/2). The FG took about 5 minutes to walk down the aisle and was throwing handfuls of petals AT PEOPLE, and the RB kept picking up the petals to clean up. It was adorable... I wouldn't sweat it! Just attempt to guide them and let them do their thing!

+1 to the bribes, for my sister's wedding we fed the 4yo flower girl gummy bears the whole way down the aisle :)

My flower girl was not even 2 when she walked down my very long isle w/ almost 500 people!

We had the parent she wanted more up front holding one of her favorite dolls to lure her down the isle. The other parent was in the back but hid; he was just there in case she won't cooperate and he needed to walk down with her.

i had someone hold giant lollipops at the end of the aisle, bonus: it kept them quiet through the ceremony :) just go with light colors so they don't stain

Wagon Jr. and LMW are in their first wedding this Saturday!! Anyone have any tips on getting them down the aisle?? I'm pretty sure that LMW will cause some giggles and sprint down the aisle cackling... but I'm almost just as sure that Wagon Jr. will break down and cry and not make it down the aisle!
