@kjpugs: LOL

I can't think of anything specific from my childhood that's strange... We had specific snacks that make me smile whenever I think of them, though!!

My mom always made stovetop popcorn, so that's what I make. I never buy microwave popcorn.

My dad always snacked on asiago cheese & we called it "stinky cheese" but LOVED it. We still eat it with him!! Chloe likes it too ;)

Ritz crackers or saltines with cream cheese. I made these the other day for Lo and my husband looked at me like I had three heads. Then he tried one & ate the whole sleeve LOL

I used to love Chef Boyardee beefaroni. I haven't had one in 20+ years and have no desire to anymore! Also, I liked instant mashed potatoes (just add water!) mixed with ketchup, haha.

Pastina! We used to eat pastina (tiny pasta- maybe a little bigger than cous cous but true pasta) with milk in it. I KNOW. I ate that stuff UP as a kid and I tried pastina recently for nostalgia purposes- without milk because, GAG- and I just couldn't do it. So gross! I think it's an old Italian thing which is weird because my mom is Irish, haha.

@Crumbs: How funny, I'm the complete opposite! I've never really liked eggs growing up and I *refused* to eat fried eggs/runny eggs. Now poached or sunny-side up eggs are the only way I'll eat them (as long as the whites are fully cooked).

So weird how adult tastes change.

That was my favorite sandwich to take for lunch growing up. Now the thought of a soggy bologna sandwich is so gross! Yuck!

My typical lunch was a soggy bologna sandwich, hi-c juice box, an apple (usually left untouched, ha), and a little debbie snack. Now the apple is the only thing I would eat in that lunch :)

I have no idea why, but as a kid, I LOVED these frozen yam patties they would serve at the daycare my parents owned. They were these weird, totally circular patties and the daycare cook would put butter and two marshmallows on top of each one, and I thought it was like.....dessert as a vegetable. I would eat mine and all the other kids' who didn't eat their own.

So gross!!!!

@Maysprout; I'm not really sure what it is, honestly. As a kid, the repressed Catholic in me was drawn to the little cavorting red devil on the side of the can. And, okay, probably also to the insanely high sodium content. I remember it being yummy, and also kinda repulsive.
