I am actually Baptist, DH is Jewish. We want something low key and simple yet still meaningful and he is clueless. It took us over a year to find a Rabbi willing to officiate at our interfaith wedding and he wont do the ceremony. I suppose you could do it yourself and "wing it", but IMO, we had a Bris for DS (and I assume you would probably have one if you had a DS) so why wouldn't you want to make the experience for your DD just as special and meaningful and follow the proper protocol (naming the baby is a big part of the Bris for those who might be reading this and not know, it's not just about the circumcision)?
