Yes, he also did this at around 10 months. We switched to a sippy cup instead of a bottle. I also had a drop in supply at 6 months but have been able to increase and we are still going very strong at 18 months old (we will bf until 2 because of medical issues). Some of the things that I did to increase:
Lots of mothers milk tea, lots of nursing whenever I could (we brought him to bed with us), I also pumped after every nursing session.

My son did something similar a few weeks ago at 2.5 months...only wanted to nurse and wouldn't take bottle. But it was problematic for us since my supply is so low. We solved it by getting wider base bottle nipples and heating up the bottles so the experience was more like breastfeeding. Luckily we had him back on track after about a week or so. Good luck!

@tequiero21: You can definitely bring it back up! From my understanding it'll go by the prolactin receptors that were laid in the beginning... the more then the easier to increase now. I mean if an adoptive mom can build their lactation from NOTHING then I'm sure we can bring ours back up!

Like I said, I'm getting some mother's milk tea and going to try and nurse as much as I can the next couple of days. If I absolutely have to them I'll pull out the pump and do some pumping sessions between feedings.... I'm really hoping I don't have to though since I despise pumping so much! lol

@runsyellowlites: do you think you can increase supply after it seems to be dwindling? maybe in the beginning, but don't you think it's "regulated" by now at 6+ months? i really hope i can increase it. i mean, i would love to not have to breastfeed or pump (lol!), but i still want to try to shoot for a year. hope you get your supply up too!

I've seen quite a few moms in my April group going through this right now. I pretty much ebf so I can't really be of help BUT I do feel you on the dwindling supply!

Mine has taken a huge dip over the last week b/c I was having trouble drinking ANYthing! I get canker sores when I don't sleep and DD was up alot last week. Today it took an hour to feed her b/c I was so low and she kept getting frustrated!

Definitely picking up some MMT tomorrow! Hope your lo's bottle strike ends soon.... then again this might be a perfect time for a nurse-in to boost your supple!... Blessing in disguise maybe?...

what da... my son, who is now 6.5 months, was always good about eating anything. breastmilk, formula, medicine, solids. now, for the past 3 days, he's refusing the bottle. has this happened to you? what did you do about it? this is bad, because i think my supply is dwindling after my pump and dump sessions last week. ugh.
