@BabyBoecksMom: my babe is happiest in the morning and it's his longest awake time so it works well for us. I figure if I gotta be up in the morning with him anyway, I gotta make the most of it! I always feel good once I work out too and it's real nice as a SAHM to get out and do something.
Some of my favorite classes are in the evenings though and he doesn't do well when we go in the evening.

@miss-spunkin: Wow - I'm impressed and I:m going to use you as my motivation to get out there and work out more often. I don't know why but I keep feeling like there's not enough time to work out because by the time I feed her, change her and get myself ready to go, she's ready for her nap again. ugh! I just need to do it!

@chrispygal: I'll definitely keep you posted - good luck to you!

@BabyBoecksMom: agreed.
but the last few days I got up to go even though I got little sleep.!

I work out most mornings, sometimes I go in the evening depending. Our YMCA has free childcare so I just drop him off while I'm at the gym.

I think it is definitely feasible! You sound like a very motivated morning work out person so I'm sure you'll make it work!

I'm glad others agree that it should be feasible - in theory anyway. lol.

@BabyBoecksMom: Good luck this week, and let me know how it goes! I think you're right about the sleep.

Yay!! Another morning workout momma!

I've worked out in the morning for the past 8 years (5 days a week) so I understand where you're coming from. I go back to work on Monday so I should have a better idea of if that's possible. I think the biggest obstacle is how much sleep your LO gets each night. If you have to wake up several times during the night, you're probably not going to feel like getting up to workout.

O can't work out at all right now, but I feel like if you have your husband helping out it shouldn't be an issue.

I'm not a morning working out person, but it's doable! Maybe not in the first few weeks, but especially if you're not nursing you shouldn't have a problem getting your morning work out in!

For over 2 years I have worked out in the morning before work and have high hopes of doing the same after LO is born and I head back to work. I am aiming for 3 days a week. DH is going to do daycare drop off and pick up since it's on his way to work. I will not be breast feeding (had reduction 20 years ago and its likely milk will not come in correctly) so that is not a factor for us either. I figure as long as we get into a routine and its not too much pressure for him to handle on his own, it should work. Am I living in lala-land? Any other moms make this type of schedule work?
