Could it be something she's eating at lunch that's upsetting her tummy perhaps? Or too hot / too cold / too something else?

Have you tried pushing the nap 30 minutes in either direction?

No real advice here. I snuggle napped my baby for the longest time - oops - ha ha ha

My 11.5 month old has been having trouble with naps for about 2 months. She STTN from 7:30pm- 5:30am, goes down for nap 1 at 9 sleeps 9-10:30 and then nap 2 at 2. However no more then 30 minutes into nap 2 she wakes up in hysterics. On a usual day I wait 5 minutes or so before going in and holding her. She easily falls back asleep in my arms and sleeps at least another hour. If I don't hold her she is nearly inconsolable. When she finally calms down she's crabby for the rest of the night until an early bedtime and then has frequent wake ups because she is overtired throughout the night. Naps have been a bit wonky and she's getting harder and harder to put down for naps despite being tired. Out usual nap routine is sleep sack and cuddles until calm and eyes closed and then I put her down.

I know holding her while sleeping only perpetuates the problem but not holding her is also a problem and a CIO isn't something that had ever worked with naps.

Any suggestions for me?
