I know how hard it is to stay away from google though, but I realized during the first trimester that you can find answers that go both the "it's normal" and "panic!" ways of each situation if you keep looking! Well all those women might go to the same board to commiserate (let's say a random the bump site or w/e). Then, it looks like there are a million people with that issue! When in reality, SO many more women have NOT had that complication, they just don't write about it. hope that made sense. that's how I have to justify not googling. I googled a lot in the beginning (because I didn't have many symptoms). I had my first NP appointment today at 5 weeks and had a routine pap and pelvic exam. The nurse told me I would likely have some spotting which is totally normal. As expected, I did have some pink discharge so I decided to google how long I should expect this to last. What did a find?? Lots of stories of people who miscarried after pap smears and all these warnings that I shouldn't have let the NP do it. AHHHHHH. The bleeding has already stopped so I'm pretty calmed down at this point, but I really think I need to just stop googling things all together.
