My OB that did the surgery a long time ago said that even with 1 tube, as long as I was producing eggs off both ovaries than there was still a chance the good tube left could still cross over and get the egg from either ovary (hence being able to get pregnant every month). However I dont know the odds of how often this happens or how long it takes your body to "adjust" for this. We did ivf because of several factors one being my good tube was connected to a lazy ovary and I couldn't ovulate on that side. I waited way too long to go to an RE because I had hopes of conceiving naturally.
