I just ordered mine! I'm excited - I haven't been happy with my ergo for a while and have heard great things about onya.

@Mrs. Oatmeal: it's very ergonomic, we've gone on hikes with it! But it's also lightweight and the material doesn't get TOO hot.

@littlehunny: I feel your pain-my son is heavy for his age, and this carrier really distributes the weight well, as you know! I'm glad to hear that you're still using the carrier at 20 months!

@QueensBee: I hope you get to try it out! There's just something about it that really provides support, distributes the weight really well, and it's so easy to snap in and out, and adjust between users.

@MoonMoon: Thanks so much for mentioning this! I've been considering the Tula but it's nice to hear about this other option. I will check out the site...

@MoonMoon: they are 20 months! E likes to be picked up all. the. time. and he is heavy! The onya carrier definitely saves my arms and shoulders.

I'm exploring SSCs right now - K has outgrown the K'Tan (well, she doesn't like it), but I can't use my MEC hiking carrier all the time. Sounds like this might be a good one to check out!

I have an Onya carrier too! Love it so much! Both my hubby and I use it and my boys seem comfy in it.

@Happygal: we have the Outback. We've tried the integrated seat a couple of times, but LO is still so young (13 months) that he doesn't want to sit still, he needs to be ”contained” by a highchair still. I imagine that part being more useful when he's older!

@MoonMoon: Do you use the integrated seat? I've looked at it before and like the looks of it, but have never seen one in person. Which one do you have?

@Mrs. Twine: the way the instructor described it was, it's basically a better Ergo-and it is! It has a much much wider seat, and more padding. We had kind of given up on BW, had outgrown the Moby and the Ergo wasn't comfortable- we thought LO was too big. It was great to be proven wrong!

@MoonMoon: I've heard really good things about them and would love to try one, but haven't yet. I think it's awesome you were able to try some to see what you and your little one gravitated to! That is by far the best way to choose a carrier.

The other thread about wearing older/bigger kids reminded me how much DH and I love our Onya and get almost daily use out of it. He wears him on his back, I do front. I know people rave about the Tula, which I was considering. But we went to a BW class and when we tried this one and LO started laughing out loud, we fell in love. It's also great because we only need one even though DH and I are very different heights/sizes. It's supposed to go up to 45 lbs.

http://onyababy.com/

Anyway, this is a relatively new soft structured carrier, and I've never heard another Bee talk about using it, so I just wanted to see if there's anyone else I can share my excitement with! :)
