<description>&#60;p&#62;Out of all the animals commonly kept as pets, I prefer parrots.  They are some of the most interactive animals, IMO, especially since their level of intelligence is so high.  Plus, I prefer birds in general over furs, even though I do have three cats and a dog too.  I share my life with two small parrots and a canary (Green-cheek conure named Kayda and Lineoleated parakeet named Breeze).  I had a wonderful African Grey for seven years who I treated like an actual human family member, but he passed away after a particular nasty illness earlier this year.  I still feel the hole and miss having a larger parrot around.  Does anyone else share their lives with a feathered minion?
