Mexican candy! Pelon Pelo Rico or anything with tamarind, sugar and chili combo. These saved me from a long and bumpy international flight!

last week I had my first bout of nausea and what kept me a little sane was eating BREAD lots and lots of bread... Panera bread, Breadsticks, french bread ... lol no the best diet.... I lucked out this week feeling good, I also bought the preggie pops too, I feel those helped me out too. I was grocery shopping and was feeling really nauseous in the store with all the food around me and I popped one in and felt better.

Constantly eating, which is really different from how I usually eat. I'm a 3 squares a day kind of gal. But during the first trimester I was eating something small every hour. The only time I didn't feel naseous was when I was actually chewing and swallowing, so I snacked constantly on crackers, ginger ale, hard candies, etc.

I carry a bag of saltine crackers everywhere I go. I try to eat 1-2 every half hour or so. It's done fairly good job of keeping the nausea at bay. Sometimes it makes it not so bad, but doesn't make it go away. I have done this at the recommendation of my doctor. Hope you find something that works for you!

I need to constantly keep my stomach full, so I've got a stash of crackers, nuts, granola bars, dried fruit, that I munch on. The times when I've really felt like I was going to vomit, I make a tea of dried ginger in hot water with splash of lemon juice or orange juice and that has helped. Also I find drinking water all day long helps too.

The key for me was eating constantly. If I was chewing, I felt okay. Not the best weight-management plan, but it did help me feel better. I noticed that my typical favorites like vegetables and fruit were the least helpful in keeping nausea at bay. My OBGYN said it was really important to make sure I was getting a little fat in every meal/snack, because that would keep me from feeling sick longer. Favorites were peanut butter on english muffins and peanut butter cups. Now that I've hit sixteen weeks, the nausea has disappeared - so hold on tight - the end is insight!

For me, keeping something in my stomach at all times helped. Mostly protein...I lived on peanut butter sandwiches and oatmeal. When I couldn't eat, sucking on hard peppermint candies (I had Starlite brand) worked wonders.

Trying to keep a little something in my stomach at all times (ginger snaps, pretzels, and dry toast) seemed to work best, but it wasn't a cure.

I agree with the previous posters. Try having a full belly. The other things that worked for me were sucking on Jolly Ranchers, and eating peanut butter.

Having a full belly was the real trick. Mild grain-based foods were always more palatable, and I was less likely to throw those up.

Alas, there is no fix for the nausea, only coping strategies!

I was lucky and didn't have any morning sickness...however I did have a stomach bug at about 9 weeks, and the only thing that helped settle my stomach (other than puking!) was preggie pop drops. They're sour sucking candies and really helped. I'm sure other people will be able to chime in with more helpful tips!

i'm experiencing low-level nausea from morning until early evening. i alternate between wanting to avoid food altogether and wanting to eat all the time in the hopes that i will find the "magic food" that will soothe my system.

i was wondering what everyone else's go-to fix/remedy/food was or is for their nausea, whether it be pickles, napping, ginger tea, etc. i'm looking for ideas to try!
