I live in the area, although I'm expecting my first, so I don't have a ton of knowledge on mom stuff (yet). I would second looking at Davis Wiki - its a very robust resource for the city.</p> <p>We have friends who send their child to Merryhill Preschool (which has both infant and toddler care programs). Its associated with Merryhill Schools, which is a local private school. <a href="http://lavida.merryhillschool.com/page.cfm?p=17352" rel="nofollow">http://lavida.merryhillschool.com/page.cfm?p=17352</a></p> <p>University Covenant Church has a nursery school (ages 3 and up) that does half day programs at a reasonable cost and the facilities are pretty new. (We know people who send their children there). My husband and I just moved to the Sacramento area. He started at UC Davis and I am currently looking while being a SAHM to our 15 month old son. I'm hoping that someone maybe lives in the area and is willing to give input/advice on things to do especially with little one, if you know of any great daycares, since we'll soon be looking, if there's a moms list here, etc. We made the move from Philly and I belonged to a great moms list/group there so am hoping there might be something similar here.<br /> Thanks so much for any and all advice!! </p>
