Lots of cat / cow, crawling, draping yourself over a Swiss ball and the inversion from Spinning Babies!

I just jab her back if she's getting me in a weird spot. Ha. I also read on spinning babies about putting your legs up at 90 degrees onto a couch or something while laying on your back for 5 minutes to help with positioning.

My doula recommended crawling 5 minutes a day for positioning. I'm not sure if it did anything but it sure was hard work.

This isn't helpful, but DD was head down until 39 weeks and then decided she wanted to stand up. I didn't have any time to try to flip her, but some friends recommended acupuncture.

I think I did something like down dog that I maybe pulled off the Spinning Babies website? I realize that is too vague to be helpful. Cat cow and just hanging out sort of kneeling and draped over an ottoman helped too.

@mrsrain: I'll try. Last time I always got kicked in the right ribs after lunch so I would push down to keep her feet out of my ribs at least. This time I'm going to be pushing up from my crotch. Good thing I'll be home for that!

I've been doing cat cow a lot for lower back pain but will keep it up.

I did cat-cow every night before bed. It helps with hip/back pain and is supposed to encourage baby into the head-down position. Can't hurt to try! I think she dropped around 35 weeks?
As for jabbing, have you tried using your hands to push back at baby? Sometimes that worked to get her to move when she was kicked me in the bladder or the like.

I am almost 30 weeks pregnant with baby number 2, so she has a fair amount of space to move around in there at the moment. She is always most active in the evening after dinner when I'm resting and watching TV. Some night she's just moving all over and I feel it kind of everywhere, which is fine. But some nights, like last night, she will be kicking and punching in really uncomfortable positions (last night somehow hands and feet were just jabbing really hard really low. Ow).

Considering she obviously still has lots of room to move, is there any way to encourage her to move to a new position that doesn't feel like she's kicking her way out? Downward dog or the like?

Also when did your baby get into delivery position? I can't remember when but my first was pretty much head down, back to my left side, for a long time before she was born.
