I actually love the china we registered for and use it pretty regularly now that we have a dining table!
I regret our towels as well, they are not soft at all but halfway decent so I can't justify replacing them for a while yet!
Eta I also regret registering for a cake stand, I had delusions of baking fancy cakes that never came to pass!

Our wedding china is sitting in the original boxes in my parents' basement but I didn't even want china (MIL made us register for it) so I guess that doesn't count.

I thought I would use our ginormous Breville juicer all the time but once I had LO, the thought of having to clean that behemoth was too much so now it's sitting in her closet.

We registered for everyday plates from crate and barrel. We use them all the time. Sometimes I wish I registered for the fancy stuff but I know I would hate storing and cleaning plates I hardly use

I regret registering for a deep fryer...never used it bc it seems like such a hassle

there is only one thing i can think of- a set of twelve cream colored dinner napkins. i thought they'd be standard sized napkins, they're stupid tiny little napkins that i can't fold to make look halfway decent. they sit in the closet, making me angry.

We got a million appliances. The waffle maker I've used twice...the pizelle maker never, citrus juice in the box...

I've been married almost 5 years, eek.

My grandmother bought us a vacuum as an engagement gift and it was heavy and did nothing for my pet's hair. So this Christmas I got a new vacuum which is awesome! The day we came home with it my husband set it up and was so amazed with it that he vacuumed the living room, stairs and our bedroom without any prompting.

@cmomma17: figures. That's where our towels were from, too!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: that's horrible. Glad you got some good ones, though!

@T.H.O.U.: Yes! And they take up so much room in our cupboards! Ugh-it's one of my biggest pet peeves about them!

@MrsH: this would have been a better option, I think!

@LovelyPlum: Our color didn't run, but man, one wash and they bunched up like crazy. They have a thick band at the bottom. We went from oversize towels to like, dish towels.

My mom got us new ones for xmas a year or two ago. They're the MS brand from Pennys and they're still as soft as they were when we got them!

The kitchen towels I picked at bed bath and beyond are crappy. They hardly absorb any liquid. So of course someone bought ALL of them for us! :)

I wish we would have registered for better towels. Our fell apart pretty quickly, despite the great reviews they had.

When we got married, we registered for (and got) dinner plates, salad plates, pasta bowls, and cereal bowls for 12. At the time, I was insistent that we register for plates, because in my head, that's what you get for a wedding.

Three years later, I'm wondering if perhaps that wasn't the best decision. Our plates are HUGE (12 or 13 inches), and so are the pasta and cereal bowls. We've tried to scale back to 9" plates in an effort to eat smaller portions, and so I now primarily use cheapo plates that I got from Target. I feel badly that we don't use the wedding plates, though!

Anything that you thought you'd like that you find is no longer as useful as you had hoped?
