My LO is 1 month old and extremely colicky, and I don't leave the house during the week because I can't lift her in her car seat (c-section). My incision is not healing because I can't avoid tons of bending and lifting at home, LO needs to be held and rocked constantly. All depends on what project he is on at the time. He is in town right now but after baby is born he will be on a new one. So I will be on my own for days at a time. It was rough in the beginning but now I love the special time alone with my LO. Sounds like you are doing great! It's hard work, but SO worth it! I can't imagine it being the other way were I only saw LO every once in awhile. Growing up my dad was navy and he would be gone for 6 months at a time. My brother would have been two. She worked at the church preschool/kindergarten I went to - brother went to babysitter until he could start kindergarten too (age 3). Do what you think is best !!
