@snowjewelz: Same here! I remember last time my husband getting so much more connected once my belly was big and he could feel her move--this time I feel like I"ve been the same way! Life is crazy. :)

@mfa_lady: Exactly! I hope I will start to feel movement by 20 weeks like you! I'm so anxious to go to my appt next week just to know everything's ok! Sometimes I feel horrible and wonder if she's ok in there b/c I feel like I haven't been taking care of myself as well this time around!

@snowjewelz: I thought the same! My job AND my life (another toddler mom over here) are so much crazier than they were when I was pregnant with DD1. Ha!

@catlady: I was the exact same way. Until this past week, I'd often be like "Wait. Was that it?! Hello? Are you in there?" Haha.

@mamabolt: Yep, that was me exactly (this time around). And finally getting stronger now!

@mfa_lady: Lol, thanks for another update. Turns out I have anterior placenta this time too. 20 weeks tomorrow and I feel him at least once every day but it is usually very subtle. Looking forward to movement picking up!

I forget to ask if I have an anterior placenta this time too or not, but I am 15+5 and I don't think I've really felt DD2. Sometimes I don't know if I'm just too busy to notice also...

Okay, coming back to update AGAIN--I'm 25+3 today and for about the past week, have been feeling her like crazy. I can see her, too, pretty steadily from the outside. Still, though, all this happened way later than with DD1, so it's good to finally be feeling what I'm used to. :)

@catlady: @KayKay: US tech confirmed anterior placenta an hour ago at my ultrasound! I had a low-lying placenta with DD, but it resolved quickly. Anyway, I'm sure the placenta placement this time played a role.

I felt my first and second around the same time -- 17ish weeks and by 18w, I was certain that's what it was (seriously, the early movements are so tiny and infrequent that I could never be sure it wasn't just gas until....you know!). Currently pregnant with 3rd (15.5w) and seem to be on the same track (i.e., nothing certain yet; little bubbles seem to be too high to actually be the baby). All times I've had a tilted uterus, but none have been an anterior placenta.

@mfa_lady: Thank you for your update! I could literally have written your first post (15+1 today, tilted uterus, and I actually thought I felt some tiny flutters a few weeks ago but nothing now so I think that was just gas!). Good to know it is still normal.

Coming here to update--after feeling daily movement from 18w on with my first, I didn't feel anything regular with this one until right at 20 weeks. I'm 20+5 today, and while I felt a twinge here and there from 18 - 20 weeks, nothing steady until this week. :)

With DS1 it was 20 weeks with anterior placenta

DS2 was 15 weeks and every day by 17 weeks

DS2 I felt some definite movement during a recent ultrasound at 14 weeks when the tech pressed on my uterus, but a week later nothing else except a few times that I thought *might* be movement.

I also have a tilted uterus but had no idea it affected movement!

I think I felt consistent movement sooner with #2 than I am with #3 (currently 14 weeks and have MAYBE felt a bubble or two)....but I wonder if some of that is just because chasing two kids, I'm never really sitting down and relaxing! :)

I didn't - I felt DD1 around 20ish weeks and DD2 (reliably) around the same time, maybe even 21ish weeks. I maybe felt her earlier, but it could have been something else, so I didn't count that.

I wanted to add that I thought I felt it earlier, but I wasn't certain until 19 weeks. When I told my OB this, he said it wasn't until 24 weeks that he would start to be concerned if I didn't feel movement. I like having dates in mind like that!

I don't with this babe and I think that contributes to my early kicks

I had an anterior placenta both times and it was somewhere in the 18-20 week range with both. I was a little bummed when I could tell the second (and last) baby had an anterior placenta. I was hoping to experience the crazy skin movement. But no, just a repeat of insane rib and pubic bone kicking.
