I've only been before kids. I agree that the beach is not for going in, but there are lots of nice resorts. I'd definitely research whether any are kid friendly. We often go there because it's a short, cheap flight from SoCal, but It probably wouldn't be my first choice for young kids.

I've been there. It's very hot, it's a desert with a the beach. The beaches are not good for swimming. We were warn that their quite dangerous. The town itself does not have much, but the resorts are really nice. I will probably not vacation there again as I prefer the beaches in Cancun. I would reccomend Cancun there is more family oriented things to do there.

I've been to Cabo once. Me and Dh went with another couple. We mostly stayed at the resort, it was all inclusive so lots of food, cocktails and lounging by the pool. There were 2 pools, one was the "party pool" where 24/7 is like spring break and then a quieter pool which is where we hung out. We walked on the beach but never really went into the water.. The all inclusive aspect was very fun and stress free. Maybe it was just the resort I stayed at but there were very few kids there. If your kids love the sand and pool then I am sure it would be fun but there wasn't a whole lot else there geared toward families at my specific resort. It probably wouldn't be my first choice place to bring kids. Most people I know who go there it was more of an adult trip.

Has anyone gone to Cabo? What did you like or dislike about it? Would it be a good place for a family vacation with a 6 year old and a 3 year old? I read online that the beaches can be treacherous with strong undertows, riptides, etc., which makes me a little nervous. Any info would be appreciated.
