Yes. I had hip pain on one side almost from the start (hormone induced relation of the ligaments). Got diagnosed with SPD, saw a chiropractor for the entirety of the pregnancy. And the pain (and heart burn and rib pain and, etc) were ALL gone by the day after birth. Oh, it was heaven!

Yep, I think it started around 20 weeks. Some days picking up my legs to put on my jeans would make me cry from the pain. I saw my chiropractor regularly and did stretches that my doula suggested and it helped tremendously.

@Pepper: this is one of the things I'm dreading with my current pregnancy. I really hope it doesn't happen again.

@BabyBoecksMom: "like someone had kicked me in the crotch" -- exactly! Ugh. I don't miss that.

My OB suspected I had this. I didn't have a clicking but I was in so much pain (like someone had kicked me in the crotch) anytime I would move from sitting to standing, stand for 10+ min or try to walk my normal, fast pace. I wore a support belt, and it helped relieve a lot of the pain, but it stayed until she was born. But, the pain went away almost immediately after birth.

ETA: I didn't realize they hat PT for this! I would have tried to get it. I was able to run through most of my pregnancy, but the pain from this made me stop.

My OB was pretty sure I had this. I had a lot of pain when sitting up from laying down, when changing positions suddenly in bed, and when spreading my legs too far. He recommended I wear a support belt, but I never did. After I delivered it totally went away.

Oh, and you asked about symptoms. I had a hip click that was extremely painful. Anything that involved moving my legs apart caused me pain. I couldn't step over anything without shooting pain.

Me! I got it at around 24 or 26 weeks? I went to physical therapy for 10 weeks and my PT was a godsend. I was pain free by 32 weeks, and that continued til I delivered.

What were your symptoms? When did it start? What did you do for it? Did your pain go away after delivery or did you continue to have complications?
