He starts the seeds inside and then puts them out when the last frost has occurred. </p> <p>We've had the most success with squash, green beans, and tomatoes. Lettuce and spinach are actually considered the hardest, but it could just be our environment. </p> <p>In terms of overheating, you have to be very mindful about their temperature tolerance and desired sun exposure. We live in the South, so this is a major one for us. </p> <p>Lastly, there honestly isn't that much of a price difference in the end between seeding and buying the already done plants at Home Depot. Your seeds are going to come up a little later in the season (he started the seeding process in March and they are now ready to go in the ground this weekend). </p> <p>Oh yea... if you can't tell, my husband is really into talking (slash boring) me about this.
