I didn't ever specifically feel it, but I saw it on our biophysical profile, and it was soooo cool!

@anandam: what?! Craziness. Never heard of that. lol But yeah, once DS was born and I saw him breathing, it seemed like the same thing I was feeling.

@LuLu Mom: @theotherstark: lol didn't mean to hijack the thread! Our minds were in the gutter apparently but it was a slow rhythmic movement and that's what it reminded us of!

@EMG86: Haha yes, we were team green and it was when we felt this that I was like, oh this is a boy. And it was!

No sign of that behavior on the outside though so I do think breathing movements are what we actually were feeling.

@anandam: WHAT?! LOL! Oh my goodness...BOYS!

I always assumed it was hiccuping towards the end. So cool that you can tell the difference!

Huh! I felt something like that and never knew what it was. I always sort of assumed that it was the placenta pulsing or something? Lol I don't even know if it does that. I always meant to ask my doc but never remembered. That totally could've been what she was doing though!

Yes! I think. When it started DH and I wondered if it might be masturbation (which happens! Google if you dare!) or sucking but once he was born and we saw/felt him breathing, I'm pretty sure you're right. Definitely different from hiccups.

@sorrycharlie: yes it feels like panting!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: @Alivoo01: nope! I can definitely tell the difference between this and hiccuping. The hiccups feel like quick little jolts that are rhythmic.

I felt something that sounds like that with my son, maybe the last 6 weeks or so. If I remember correctly, he was definitely head down, but I think his back was along my right side.

I felt it with DS and I've been feeling it with this baby girl the last couple of weeks. I swear that's what I'm feeling!

It's a soft up and down, rhythmic movement that lasts for some time. Definitely not hiccups... I know what those feel like.

Anyone else experience this kind of movement? Do you think it's the baby practicing breathing?
