But he's only really big on his pro team, which I can handle. But uh, that's what DVR is for. You can pause the game, change the baby, and get right back to it. Football's a biggie for my husband and it's only here once a year. But i say that if you get shafted in the fall, then come winter/spring, fair's fair! </p> <p>You could trade off weeks. But, really, DH has to record a lot of his games. Take advantage of these times! Now she's 13 months old and doesn't like tv and crawls out of the room to play with her toys. I was so tired from watching LO that I just wanted a break- I ended up taking him with me to a baby shower because DH was going to watch the game at a bar- I was livid when I found out that he ended up coming home 20 minutes after I left for the shower. It wasn't that I minded taking LO to the shower, but I'm home all week all day with him, so I was looking forward to a little time to myself!!<br /> Next weekend, this all day football at the bar nonsense is not happening. But he also never just spends a whole day sitting and watching football unless it's the playoffs or something. We don't even have a baby yet but he spent most of yesterday working (mowed the lawn, cleaned the kitchen, vaccuumed and cleaned the floors in the whole house, finished up some stuff in the nursery, and went grocery shopping with me). He just catches a bit of the games here and there while he takes a break. Now he spends at least 8 hours to watch his college and pro team play during the weekend, and I feel like a bad wife if I say no. Meanwhile I've given up watching my football team play because I have a baby girl to chase around all day! How is this fair?!</p> <p>Anyone else in my boat? As a compromise I usually do try to have us go to a sports bar so we at least get out of the house together! </p>
