My baby did so well last night- only one wake up! Unfortunately my girls had terrible nights which resulted in three more wake ups... So worse than a typical baby night.

Last night was the roughest night I've ever had with a baby. She was up screaming for the majority of the night. She never slept for more than 45 minutes at a time, would feed, and then scream. Nothing I tried calmed her down, it was very trying. She's 2 1/2 weeks.

DS has been up pretty much every 2 hours (or less, if he needs comfort) to feed since he was 2 months old. He's 6 months old now. He slept better as a newborn!! The night before last, he woke up twice between feedings because his nose was stuffy. We then spent ages wrestling him to unblock it. Fun times.

Today has been rough. We had maintenance come right when I finally got her to nap= no nap at all and no break. The most she ever naps is 20 minutes anyway but my goodness. And the most she ever sleeps overnight (I mean total!) is 8 hours or less.

LO slept well but I have terrible pregnancy insomnia and was up from 1:30-4. And then LO woke for the day at 6:30. So. Tired.

@junebugsmama: sorry you had to be up so much! But there were lots of cuddles

Same here, two rough nights in a row... my two year old is sick and teething and woke up 10 times last night... at least cuddling made him feel better! And then he had an epic tantrum last night, DH joined in and had a big boy tantrum, and calming them both down was way more tiring than all the wake ups. I'm ready to call it a day and go home early, but I already missed two days of work while DS was home sick.

Not last night, but the night before, my 15 month old was up and screaming from 9:30 to 1am. He would fall asleep on me, but scream when I put him down. It was awful. Took him to the doc, he has an ear infection.

Now, my older son has the same cough/cold and took a terrible nap due to a cough. I have a feeling tonight isn't going to be too good because of him.

(and for the record, my daughter had this last week and had three horrific nights in a row, keeping me up until at least 12:30 at night.... she is 5. FIVE!!!!)

Yes please!

My DD isn't a baby any more but I'm still going to join in! The night before last, she coughed all night - honestly, every 30 seconds or so. It woke her up 6 times during the night - 4 of which, she cried until I went in to her.... and her nappy had leaked on two of those occasions because of all the extra water she had drunk. I had perhaps 2hrs broken sleep. Last night, she was up twice.... the when I picked her up today she was really upset because two new teeth are poking through so tonight isn't going to be much better. :crying:

Omg and I just got him to nap for 15 min in my arms and once I put him down he woke up. Now he just keeps smiling at me as I attempt to rock him to sleep. He's been awake over. 3 hours!

I have a three week old Who was super fussy all day yesterday. I slept from 11 to 2 and then got maybe half hour of sleep after. My crazy MIL is stopping by for a visit a little later, so my patience will be tested!

My two year old woke for the day at 4:30. It was very windy here last night and she could not get back to sleep. It's so weird complaining about toddler sleep when my three month old slept for ten hours and is on hour three of her nap. Win some lose some.

My little guy (14 weeks) had a major regression in sleep starting at 12 weeks when we moved him from his basinet to crib. I think it's a combo of the 12 week growth spurt (although he's so giant, I feel like he's constantly been spurting), the move, and possibly the 4 mo sleep regression coming a little early.

Previously we were incredibly that he was sleeping 7-8 hours a night and then sleeping and nursing with me until I got up around 8. It was certainly easy to get used to that! Now his first stretch runs about 3-5 hours, and the rest of the night can be 2-3 hour stretches or another 4 hour stretch if I am lucky! And to make matters worse, I got a major kink in my neck last week which has made nursing side lying impossible.

The night before last, he did great with a 6 hour stretch, and I hoped we were trending back, but then last night he woke at 11, 2, 4, and was a smiley cooing awake boy at 6!

The odd thing is I didn't feel too horrible. I wasn't happy with each wake up but I just got up and chilled in the rocking chair while he nursed away. He's so starving, it's ridiculous! Considering he nurses so often yesterday I was thinking why wear a shirt.

Anyways, anyone want to commiserate about a crappy night?
