@erinpye: hmmm.... Interesting theory, except that my mom breasted me and my sister for over 6 months, and we both have celiac. I think it has more to do with genetics. Autoimmune diseases run in my family -- have 2 other 1st cousins with celiac, and uncles with rheumatoid arthritis, etc. my poor sister has had a bunch of health issues and she was breastfed longer than me.

@MrsH: I have been eating glutino crackers! They are dry and were doing the trick for me when I had m/s.

@LinzR: Hope the diet has made you feel way better!!

@yin: Agreed - I think it's gotten SO much easier in the past few yearsb- so many good options out there!!!

My LO is allergic to wheat, and I have been gluten free for 6 months. By changing my own diet, I have learned how to adapt, making it easier for me to cook for my LO now that he is eating solids 3x a day. I am glad that a lot of stores and even some restaurants have gluten free options available.

I've been GF since 2007. Have you found anything saltine cracker like for morning sickness?

Like some of you I also have a thyroid issue.

I'm gluten free too. DS has a wheat allergy and I was just tested for celiac myself (obviously negative because I've been gluten free since DS was 2 months). I also have a thyroid condition that only got diagnosed after having DS so it will be interesting to see what happens if/when gluten gets reintroduced into my diet.

Quinoa is my only startchy like food right now because DS also has a rice allergy. I've come to love all things quinoa and it's versatility these days.

I'm gluten free! I don't have any known allergy to it though, I eat GF because it's helped keep my thyroid in control. I'm really struggling with it right now because the only foods that don't sound repulsive to me are gluten-y carbs (@ 8 weeks pregnant).

Hi all -- I'm about 7.5 weeks pregnant and I was wondering if anyone else had celiac disease?

I got diagnosed in 2006 and have been strictly gluten free since... Now that I'm PG I've been trying to be extra careful to make sure no gluten gets in my body! So worried about accidental glutenings!
