We live a couple blocks from where our city sets off fireworks, that kinda sucks because they are really loud and our dog usually barks when they go off. Luckily he only barked once tonight and did not wake up the baby. I think he was better this year than any previous years. White noise FTW! I haven't heard too many fireworks on our street this year. One of my friends is a veteran who purposely goes away on the 4th because they trigger his PTSD. But we have people down the street who will set them off until 2 or 3AM. And unfortunately, some dumbasses decided to set a new law in our state a couple of years ago that legalized the full-sized loud as hell ones and also made it legal to set them off ANYTIME within 24 hours of the holiday. WTF. Some of us have jobs to go to in the morning or babies that will be waking us up at 6AM, and these people are in the middle of a subdivision setting off full-size fireworks in the middle of the street for hours without breaks. I hate them so damn much. Thankfully the kids have slept through them so far this year - last year it was a toddler and a newborn/young baby. Now it's two toddlers. In the same room. So if one woke, it would be twice the hassle of putting them down. </p>
