And she has learned so much. She crawled and pulled up at 7 months, she waved at 8 months, clapped at 9 months, took her first steps at 10 months. We made a last minute switch from a 'name brand' center to in home and I'm so glad. Both my husband and I just got some weird feelings at the center but he's done great at the in-home. She is so much happier being with other kids than she is staying with me or DH all day. There are things that frustrate me about daycare but overall it's been positive. I remember this one night i started singing itsy bitsy spider and she started doing the hand gestures, i almost fell off my chair. </p> <p>They are really good at teaching her to follow the rules, and it's made it easier for me to teach her things. Our LO loves it, she runs to our door when I ask if she is ready to go to school. She is all smiles when she gets there. She loves being around other kids and having so many toys. I think she's bored at home now!<br /> It's also been great for us, as the teachers have been super helpful in offering us (as new and very inexperienced parents) guidance when we ask their advice. I was so nervous but they have helped her so much. She learned to nap on her own. She plays better at home, doesn't always need our attention. I know all the teachers and even office workers do everything they can to make sure R and all the other kids are happy. </p> <p>I know she is happily playing all day, which helps when I am missing her all day. I love working (never thought I'd say that either!) I really enjoy my time being an adult every day and it makes every moment I spend with her even more awesome. When I was home on mat leave for the first year, I would just want a break the second DH came home and whenever we're all together we really enjoy eachother as opposed to just handing off tasks. This is our third week, and we are so happy! DS has mastered several milestones, has a HUGE smile on his face when he spots the other baby (its a small in-home, so there's just two babies), and his teacher gets him to take amazing naps. I love the pics I get every day. I was so worried for nothing! </p> <p>Anybody else pleasantly surprised by their daycare experience? </p>
