we literally finished spackling and putting up DD's stuff in her room the day before she arrived. i didn't have the energy to do it after she got here, but honestly, it really didn't matter much either way! it was nice to not have the mess, but now the room is a mess anyway! you're not behind!

24+4 here, and our office (which will be the nursery) isn't even cleared out yet! That's the hubby's job and I told him June would be my deadline for him to clear everything out so I'm not panicking just yet...

We also haven't started our registry or purchased any baby gear except for a car seat because it was on sale and some clothes from Carter's 50% off sale awhile back.

I'm in a similar situation to @JoJoGirl: I am 34 weeks and we've painted the room and assembled the crib, that's it. Dresser still needs to be assembled, and we have no decor or curtains or anything yet. I'm not a huge decorator so I never expected to go all out on the nursery, but I'm hoping to get it kind of together before I deliver.

At 36 weeks we have nothing in the nursery but empty furniture (not a single item of clothing or set of sheets..). And i'm not starting maternity leave til I go into labor so... it'll get done eventually.

I'm 23 weeks and we've moved out the furniture that isn't staying in that room, but that's about it! Right now our wine is on the shelf in there so that's going to have to move. We were also just given a charcoal grill and have been storing that in the nursery too! (It's a new one so at least it's not getting anything dirty.) Our shower and crib purchasing trip are both in about a month so I would like to clean out the room before those things happen. I'm not sure how much actual decorating we'll do, but we at least need space to store the baby stuff. :)

While I think having a nursery for a newborn is great (if you have that one extra room), I don't find it that much of a priority that you would need to feel foolish if you're "behind" on that!
When our LO was born, we were living in an apartment with two rooms - a bedroom and a living room. LO slept in a crib in our room, and I don't think he missed anything. Now that we live in a bigger apartment, he has his own room (he was almost two when we moved).
So I say don't sweat it...

I'm glad I'm not alone! I know it will get done eventually, especially because I'll be starting my maternity leave at 36 weeks, and will likely have some extra time to nest. I am just in a frenzy, lately - wanting to redecorate, consolidate, donate, and clean. I'm such a tidy person, and I feel like we live in a pig pen, all of a sudden. DH is rolling his eyes, sweetly.

We're also in a two bedroom place and I couldn't get my husband to clear out the second bedroom until my contractions started. I wasnt concerned because I thought our baby would sleep in the arm's reach co-sleeper for a few months but she had other ideas. She refuses to sleep next to me without eating constantly. So she's been in a pack n play in her room for 8 weeks. We bought the crib on Saturday, mattress will be delivered tomorrow, nursery will be done... who knows when.

Sweetie, my little one is seven weeks old and my eldest is fifteen months old. No nursery yet. Although we did just get a new house (seven weeks ago), I'm in the same boat as you. I have ideas and I have some items for the nursery but we haven't gotten around to making the nursery yet! You're no fool my dear. :)

DH and I live in a two bedroom apartment. Initially, the second bedroom was a guest room for visitors, but it has slowly evolved into a makeshift storage unit, especially as we spent more holidays together, and planned our wedding.

We have slowly been pulling furniture and items out, and donating. Our living room is pretty full of baby gear, waiting to go into the nursery. We have yet to even order our crib, but have a co-sleeper for our bedroom, that we plan on using for the first few months. I have a nursery theme, and decor ideas, but I have yet to actually execute a gosh darn thing. Sure, I've purchased some things, but again - all in the living room.

I'm 29 weeks and feel like a procrastinating fool. Did anyone else wait until the end to have a completed nursery?
