My ILs had a craving for hostess cupcakes and they bought it when they were up to visit. We made them throw the box out. It's SO bad for you and they already have high cholesterol!!
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/anyone-else-really-sad-about-hostess-shutting-down#post-403728 Sat, 17 Nov 2012 07:26:50 +0000 sorrycharlie 403728@https://boards.hellobee.com/
Love the cupcakes!!! Down with overly processed packaged food ;) But, one of their plants is in our area, so its sad to see people lose jobs...
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/anyone-else-really-sad-about-hostess-shutting-down#post-403545 Fri, 16 Nov 2012 22:40:06 +0000 Arden 403545@https://boards.hellobee.com/
I've always thought the Hostess, Little Debbie, and other similar brands were gross. DH had never had a twinkie, and I described it to him as sweetened lard inside a sponge... he tasted one and agreed.

It's so overly processed and chemical filled... to me it's like fake food...
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/anyone-else-really-sad-about-hostess-shutting-down#post-403533 Fri, 16 Nov 2012 22:25:54 +0000 SAHM0811 403533@https://boards.hellobee.com/
Not really too sad... All these bakeries and cupcake places nowadays like to create their own fancy versions of the old school stuff, so I prefer those anyway. Red velvet twinkies, ding dong cupcakes, etc...
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/anyone-else-really-sad-about-hostess-shutting-down#post-403529 Fri, 16 Nov 2012 22:18:14 +0000 mrstilly 403529@https://boards.hellobee.com/
I think it is sad that the CEO walked away with his pockets full while many people lost their jobs, benefits and pensions. I remember my mom getting Wonder Bread for us.

If Entenmann's or Taskycake goes out of business, I would be devastated.
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/anyone-else-really-sad-about-hostess-shutting-down#post-403512 Fri, 16 Nov 2012 22:01:39 +0000 autumnlove 403512@https://boards.hellobee.com/
Same here, I eat a Twinkie every few years but I'm sad when iconic brands go through trouble.
