i still pump once a day at 14 months! i feel guilty since i'm making milk so why not give it to olive? It's a pain even once a day. She drinks more than I pump in that once a day session, so by mid January I'll be through my stash and will have to start her on milk.

It's an extra pain for a sahm of 2 like you, but gotta get lo used to the bottle or you'll have a bottle rejecter (like m and olive!)

I have been pumping pretty much from day one. I don't mind it most of the time but around the holidays I really do. I want to spend as much time as I can with everyone and pumping has me away. It is totally worth it though. I refuse to buy formula (its expensive!!)

My pump is a necessary evil because I am a WOHM. I'm so glad I have been able to provide LO with breastmilk while I'm at work, but I do not like pumping.

Pumping is the only thing I hate about BF! Such a total PITA and I can't wait to be done with it. I plan to stop pumping around 1 year but am ok with nursing morning and night for as long ad DD wants.

Pumping is a pain in the booty. I am not ready for breastfeeding to be over with LO--I love our special time together, but the damn pumping. LO does a way better job at emptying my boobs than the pump does and I struggle with recurring clogged ducts (partially because I can't stop sleeping on my side!)

I can't wait to drop the pump!

@pregnantbee: True, it is worth it! I do all the same things you do, but yeah, I still can't wait to not have to pump, though I probably won't stop pumping until she's about 18 months. We'll see.

Yup, it's a pain! But it is worth it so far to me as a fulltime WOHM. My 6-mo-old has never had a drop of formula. Here are some things that make it easier: Simple Wishes hands-free pumping bra. Holds the flanges and bottles on so you don't have to awkwardly hold them. @kml636

And when I'm at work, I put the pump parts in a fridge between sessions so I'm not washing them a million times a day.

And if you don't know about it yet, a wonderful resource: Isis Parenting and their amazing live and recorded webinars. They even have ones about pumping and breastfeeding: http://www.isisparenting.com/page/webinarsbreastfeeding And follow @nancyholtzman on Twitter. She answers tons of BF and sleep questions.

All this to say that there are ways to make it easier. I'd be lying if I didn't say that I also look forward to not being tethered to a pump during all of my lunch and work breaks!

I tried exclusively pumping after all of our triubles and i couldnt do it. I hated spending so much time tied to a pump. In the end, it was more worth it to me to send that time with C.

Pumping is definitely a pain. I tried to make the time go by faster by being on Hellobee or catching up on episodes of my favorite shows. Keep up the great work!

I pump just enough to have milk for when I want to go out without my LO, and my first thought after my first pumping session was: there had GOT to be a better way!!! It's crazy inconvenient and super awkward holding those things on, turning the machine off, trying not to spill the bottles.., ugh

@chopsuey119: i'm in the same boat....DS gets some formula when my supply CAN NOT keep up. I am trying to boost supply but dang, it's super tedious to sit there and pump after each session. I need to find some sort of solution to this....ahhhh

I don't know how working mothers do it...I give you major props working & BFing mamas!

I stopped pumping when LO was around 2 months old and EBF her.
I'm nursing and bottle feeding DS now.. about 60% breastmilk 40% formula since he's got a voracious appetite. (THANKS JAUNDICE).
Pumping is such a pain in the booty!
