I used the mini pill before having LO and also whilst nursing LO. As long as you take it in the 3 hour window then it is fine. I can't remember what the % effectiveness is. It can mess around with your periods though while your body is getting used to it. I was getting periods every 2 weeks for the first few months til things straightened out. It's a pain but for those who can't/don't want to take the usual pill it's a good option.

Is any one else on the mini pill? My doctor prescribed it post baby because I was breastfeeding at the time, but also because of health concerns with elevated Liver Enzymes. Although I have stopped BF, she won't prescribe me anything else because of the liver.
I'm not confident in it, I used to have a 28 day cycles like clock work and now it seems like they are every 21 days or so. This has been going on for 4 months, could it be that my body is still trying to regulate itself? I see my MD next week, but thought I would check to see if anyone else has experienced this.
