I didn't worry about it but I think it's great that you do. In hindsight, I wish I had been more concerned about my diet throughout the entire pregnancy. I wasn't the worst, but I wasn't that great either.

@MrsLMA: What are the recommended servings they tell you? That is what I'm trying to do too, is to increase my fruit and veggie intake to at least 5 or more servings. And avoiding sugar ;)

My personal opinion (and what I'm doing) is "dieting" by making sure I'm eating American Medical Association suggested servings. I've found that if I hit my recommended suggestions for fruits, veggies, starches, fats and protein that I don't need the extra snacks that what cause MY weight gain. This, along with exersizing 3-4x per week shouldn't have any negative impact on the TWW- I'm hoping it will actually help!

I am trying to lose the 10 lbs I gained from the last miscarriage. I feel like if I cut my calories too much it might hurt me. I was working out a lot last time I conceived so I don't think that hurt me. It is just hard because there is no black and white answers for everyone.

I've never been on a diet but I do worry that some of the things I eat are messing with my chances when it comes to TTC. I still love to drink sodas every other day or so and usually have coffee with breakfast. I'm going to see my doctor on Monday and I have a feeling that she is going to ask me to gain weight to help TTC. So I guess I will be on a diet then.

I was on weight watchers when ttc and stopped when I got my positive pregnancy test. My baby weighed 8 lbs 13 oz at birth ... I don't think that 2 weeks of dieting hurt her :)

@leelee: Yeah, as soon as morning sickness hit, the diet itself went out the window (veggies were the nastiest thing ever to me!) and I went into survival mode. Been keeping up with walking, but thats about it!

I was a little iffy about it however I felt losing some weight was beneficial in the long run for my overall health. I went on a strict diet & exercise regimen, lost 10 lbs and got my bfp all in one month. I do think it made a difference. I'm not dieting anymore but am trying to stay active with walks.

I was put on a diet by my doctor. We were having trouble TTC, and she recommended losing weight. She gave me a meal and exercise plan. Her plan was consuming a healthy diet and not a crash diet, eating healthier was the goal, and the weight came off and the BFP happened right away, luckily for us.

Me!! I do the same thing that you do. Stick to the diet during my period and prior to O, and then after O, during TWW, I don't stick to it so much. I do the full fat dairy thing and all that.

Mainly, I only think about it during the TWW. I just want to make sure I'm giving my body enough nutrients to encourage a sticky baby :) Anyone else worry about this?
