Weird, my hair got super dry too, to the point of not being able to keep it detangled, so I finally just chopped it all off 11 months pp. I never even thought it was PP related!

Yep, super dry. My scalp is horrible being 15-16 months postpartum. I use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. It seems to help, but I need something for my scalp. Somebody mentioned it in a previous thread, now I can't remember it.

Worst hair I've ever had is now, 7 months pp, super dry and falling out everywhere (thinning).

@sarac: I wonder if pumping is doing this to me then? My hands are scaley- and I use a lot of moisturizer etc.

Yes, due to breastfeeding. When my daughter was on a growth spurt, my skin and hair would be terribly dry. Increasing my fat consumption helped some, but mostly it just got better as she got older and nursed less.

@Mrs. Pink: My hair did the same  I started using the It's a 10, Miracle leave in treatment, I buy mine from Target...pretty expensive but I think it has done wonders on my hair.

Yes...PP hair was absolutely horrible for me. My hair was a stringy knotty mess...and then it just started breaking and falling out in clumps. I'm 14 months PP and my hair still hasn't fully recovered.

Ugh-- my hair is just falling out in handfuls. Literally-- I pull my fingers through it and come away with a fistful of hair. It's so fine at this point there isn't really enough to knot (even though it hasn't been cut since June). I need to cut a bunch off.

Yep-- horribly knotty and dry, and i brush daily (which i never used to do pre-preg!)... I've been using bedhead shampoo/conditioner and using Tigi's leave-in conditioner...and their hair styling serum, which has helped a bit.

I do! Oh my hair is terrible right now. I'm 5 month pp and it's falling out in hords and get super knotty and looks stringy. I have a hard time brushing it and it's breaking and it's really depressing! I'm tempted to cut it but my husband says not to. I haven't been using nice salon hair products because I don't have the money right now. I have been using Pantene beautiful lengths shampoo and cond. and Paul Mitchell The detangler, which is pretty much empty.

My hair was a little dry during pregnancy as well but now, it's dry and frazzled looking and gets tangled really, really easily... we're talking knots.

I had a trim right before Halloween so I know I'm due soon, but it's never been this bad-- I have very fine hair but a lot of it... and use salon quality shampoo and conditioner (Joico K Pack)

Anyone else have this problem? What deep conditioners or treatments did/do you use?
