Snap N Go was a lifesaver for the first few months. I didn't invest in a stroller because I wanted to babywear. DS hated to be worn! Fortunately he LOVED the stroller (and eventually liked being worn, around 5-6 months).

@deerylou: We weren't planning to use it for exercise, and we wanted something that was a "real" stroller but still light and compact enough that it was easy for me (also petite) to lift, not knock people over at the mall, and would fit into the cars. So far, really like it, and LO seems comfy in it. Love the large sun canopy and levels of recline.

We used our SnG for 6 or so months, and it worked well. The only problem we had, like pps, is that I had to fight to control/use more force over grass/cracks/anything not smooth pavement.

Thanks for the reassurance, ladies!

@PregnantBee: How do you like the City Mini? I have been debating between that and the BOB. I know the BOB is more suited for exercise, but I find myself able to pick up the CM with much more ease - I'm relatively petite, and don't have the strongest arms in the world.

We used a Chicco keyfit 30 carseat and Chicco's frame stroller pretty much exclusively for the first 7 months and live in the suburbs. I wore him when he didn't want to be in that. At 9.5 months, we just switched to convertible carseats and said bye to the bucket seat and frame stroller. We got a City Mini instead now.

I have a double Snap N Go for my twins. Works great and is super portable. This is the only stroller we use right now at 13 weeks because most double side by side strollers won't accommodate two car seats.

We live in a beach town also and have been using the snap and go exclusively for 4 months. Since LO is too young for sunscreen, we have only been to the beach once, despite the fact that we live 5 min away. We used a carrier. I love love not having to lug a heavy stroller around.

Now at 4 mo, we are just starting to think about buying a "real" stroller. I think we are going to go with the b-agile.

It's pretty much the same as an adaptor and we used a $10 Craigslist one for the first four months!

I guess the worst case scenario is that we'll just buy a car seat adapter for our more heavy duty stroller if we find ourselves needing it.

I did this as well for both my kids (using the same graco frame with my snug ride). It worked very well. There were a few times I wished I had nicer tires (we tried to push it on the beach, big fail) but aside from that we had no regrets...

@Mrs. Yoyo: I'm glad it worked well for your family! Definitely agreed on the surfaces. If we go for a hike, or a walk near the ocean, I'll just throw her in a carrier.

We had a stroller frame + car seat that we used nearly exclusively for the first 4 or 5 months. It was totally fine and super convenient! The only thing is you have to stick to paved and hard surfaces since stroller frames can't handle anything else.

We were recently gifted a very gently used Baby Trend-n-go. We were thinking about using it as our primary stroller for the first few months with our Snugride car seat. Once DD is big enough, we will likely transfer her to the City Mini or BOB for everyday use.

We live in a moderately sized beach town, and have vehicles. I'm hoping to wear DD in an ergo or moby pretty consistently when she's a newborn, as our outings will likely be more casual. We won't be using a stroller as often as a city dweller might.

Any thoughts on this stroller plan?
