I had severe swelling in my face and legs around 36 weeks and mine was bad. But both legs and my whole face were swollen. I had pre-eclampsia with no protein presence. It could be elevated BP, it could just be pregnancy symptoms (the aching, I suspect, is a nerve combined with some pregnancy swelling.) So, Monday night I had my husband massage my left leg and I took some calcium/magnesium and went to bed. Tuesday morning everything seemed fine but then my right leg swelled up like crazy in the afternoon and my left leg started aching from the hip all the way down to my ankle. Last night I kept my ankles up and iced. This morning, the swelling was gone from the left leg, and mostly from the right although there was still a little bit on the side of my ankle. So now I am at work and the pain in my left leg is bad (dull and achy), my right ankle is still swollen, and now the left side of my face is slightly puffy. Could this be normal or could it be something else? Everything online says swelling in the face is bad, but then I've seen others say it could be nothing. </p>
