Same as @autumnlove:, we test drove it and put extra weight in it to get a realistic feeling and I just didn't like it. We both wanted to like it but didn't. We ended up going with the b-ready instead which drives like a dream. If you're concerned with the view of the lower seat, you can put the younger child there, either in the infant carrier, or you can fully recline the 2nd seat.

I test drove and I didn't like it...too long and hard to steer.

@X0X0X0: We went with the B-Ready over the City Select for 2 reasons: (1) exactly what you asked ... the CS just felt so *big* with two seats and it was much harder to manuever, and (2) the B-R was the only double conversion I found that you could put the baby on the bottom (the second seat is approved for newborn use or you can put a bucket seat *facing you* on the bottom). The second thing is what really sold me - I wanted a double stroller that protected my infant while allowing my toddler to look around.

FWIW, we have also used the B-R for two toddlers. The lower child definitely has less of a view, but the stroller is still very easy to "drive."

@X0X0X0: During test drives, it was long, heavier than other full-size stroller, and more difficult to maneuver.

Thanks for your replies. I was really hoping that the steering issues were non existent. Im in love with the city select but I don't know if I can overlook the steering issues

@HLK208: the britax b ready was a contender the only issue I have is that the rear seat has an obstructed view

We bought the City Select when we had DS with the intentions of it being our only stroller since it'll accommodate LO#2 in the future... Now I'm nervous about our decision bc it is pretty bulky and heavy right now for just one!

I don't have it but had heard that was an issue and since I am always going up and down sidewalks ended up getting the city mini gt double. I love it outdoors but can't really use it indoors comfortably.

We tested it to think ahead for when we have two, but it was so big and awkward to maneuver around the store.

I tested it out and also thought it was hard to steer since it was waaay too long. I went with the britax b-ready and I like it...but I also have the bob duallie and I like it more. It's smoother.

I have no idea but I hope you get some answers because I'm considering the City Select for a double stroller!

Over the past weeks I've done a ton of research on double strollers to use with my DD who will be 22 months when DS is born. I've considered every type of stroller and was hoping to find ONE stroller would fit all of our needs (walks to the park, shopping, one that fits in our trunk, max weight of stroller to no more than 35 lbs, easy maneuvering with 2 kids on stroller). Although it seems that finding it all in one stroller seems nearly impossible. I thought I had narrowed down my choices to the city select with extra seat and/ or BOB SE Duallie, but now I'm not so sure. I test drove the city select at BBB with my daughter on the front seat, and immediately noticed that compared to the BOB, it was a little difficult to steer with the same ease as the BOB. I've read a ton of reviews and very few seem to mention steering/maneuvering issues. Has anyone else noticed any steering or maneuvering issues with the City select plus second seat or while pushing two kids?
