We don't get a lot of sun. I like to keep lo and myself out of the sun. When we do go in it, there's sunscreen and hats for everyone, and lots of water. And we don't stay out too long.

Personaly, I don't do well in the sun and heat because of my migraines.

Living in Florida we love the sun! It helps to remember that all that Vitamin D is great and your body does need sunlight.

With that said, we do use sun block (the mineral ones on baby) and wear hats and sunglasses. I am also trying to find some good light weight clothing for baby to keep her covered but also cool.

You can use a mineral based sunscreen instead of the chemical ones, check out the EWG's list on the best and the worst.

The mineral ones contain titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, these are the ingredients that are also recommended for babies and kids.

I hate being out in the sun, too. DH handles most of the playground outings!

I hope I will! We plan on doing a lot of outdoor activities once LO is here, even though she'll have no idea what's going on for awhile. I don't (to be honest!) really think much about the sunscreen chemicals. I guess I just figure there's chemicals everywhere and at least in this case, the benefits outweigh the risks. We already have 2 hats for our September baby!

I hate being out in the sun! Not looking forward to outdoor outings this summer! Luckily we have the largest aquarium in the world about 25 mins away..! No sun!

I have been getting insane amounts of sun exposure since Bee and I had kids. I guess all those trips to the playground and park add up... plus just walking around with the kids too!

I don't like to put sunscreen on... I feel like it has all kinds of chemicals in it. When it's sunny out, I slather on the sunscreen anyway (and wear hats and long sleeves), but I'm still not protected 100%. The worst part is that every time I go out in the sun with Charlie on a weekend day, I end up feeling a bit sick in the afternoon and have to nap while Charlie naps. I would much rather use that time productively...

Oh well, the kids love the sun and it's a great chance to spend time together as a family. So I guess I'll just suffer in the sun!

Anyone else finding themselves getting way more sun after becoming a parent? How do you cope with it?
