I had pretty bad morning sickness so I ate a ton in the beginning, I also was in the middle of a kitchen remodel so we ate out a lot. All in the first trimester. My doc was vocal when she felt I was gaining too much, and we put me on a calorie plan at that time (half way through pregnancy). I had nasty morning sickness until 17 weeks and eating carbs throughout the day kept me from throwing up constantly. Try not to worry too much about it! Im 30-weeks pregnant with number 2 and already have gained 3O lbs. I'm trying not to care since my morning sickness hasn't let up this time and I'm eating whatever to curb the nausea. I think it's because I'm ALWAYS hungry and eating curbs my nausea as well. I am really hoping that my appetite goes back to normal after the first trimester and that my weight gain will level off.</p> <p>Did anyone gain more than expected in the first trimester but then stayed within the recommended 25-35 lb weight gain by the end of the pregnancy?<br /> Thanks! </p>
